This award usually goes to the gaudiest costumes, but most of this year's nominees are muted and stylish rather than loud and obnoxious. I have a bad feeling that Jojo is going to get shut out on Oscar night, but this is probably it's best bet.

On the other hand, 1917 has no business winning this one (save for the single "Wayfaring Stranger" scene). Uncut Gems should have been nominated in an overwhelming amount of categories, but this oversight is an abomination. The Safdie brothers did things with sound that I've never experience before.
